Santa Cruz x Pokémon TCG: Everything You Need to Know About the 17 October Release

Santa Cruz x Pokémon TCG: Everything You Need to Know About the 17 October Release

Two worlds collide this month. Santa Cruz Skateboards and the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) have teamed up on a limited-edition collection, and it launches worldwide on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 2pm UK time.

What is it?

The collection is built around skateboard decks that take original Pokémon TCG card art and rework it into brand-new deck graphics. The designs pull in details any card collector will recognise, like Energy types, along with themes inspired by the Pokémon and the cards themselves. Alongside the decks, the collection also includes apparel and griptape.

30 designs, and you won’t know which one you’ve got

The decks come in blind bags. A blind bag is a sealed pack where you can’t see what’s inside until you open it, so every deck is a surprise. There are 30 deck designs in the main series.

Three chase variants

If you’ve ever opened a booster pack, you’ll know this feeling. Hidden among the blind bags are 3 “chase variants”. These are rare special editions that collectors hunt for, and they’re much harder to pull than the standard designs.

A Player’s Guide in every bag

Each bagged deck comes with a Limited Edition Pokémon Player’s Guide booklet that shows all 30 designs and the 3 chase variants. That makes it easy to see what you’ve pulled and what’s still out there.

For skaters and collectors alike

Santa Cruz has been making decks since the 1970s, and Pokémon TCG has been going for nearly three decades. This drop sits right in the middle: real skate hardware for skaters, and a proper hunt for collectors.
